FLORIDA FISHING

OFFSHORE
Offshore fishing is available year round. Captain Gus provides fishing trips all over the Atlantic coast from as north as New Smyrna Beach all the way down to Key Largo.The Verbal Warning, a 22ft. Speedcraft with a 250 horsepower Yamaha, is based out of Sebastian Inlet, Florida.

For trips out of south Florida, Captain Jimbo Thomas and Captain Rick Thomas run a 42 ft. Post called the Thomas Flyer, which is based out of Miami. The Thomas Flyer holds up to six guests.

Both the Verbal Warning and the Thomas Flyer are decked out with the latest navigational and fish finder systems and complete with all U.S. Coast Guard approved safety equipment.

Species Targeted
Captain Gus mainly targets dolphin, sailfish, wahoo, kingfish, grouper, snapper and cobia. Slow or fast trolling and bottom fishing are all available.

What to Bring
Captain Gus specializes in providing top customer service. He prefers only 2-3 people per trip in order to give everyone personalized attention.

He also provides food, beverages, ice and all bait and tackle. Alcohol is allowed, but please no hard liquor. Also, don’t forget your sunscreen, hats and sunglasses. Polarized sunglasses are recommended.

INSHORE
Inshore and flats fishing charters are available year round. Captain Gus has 12 years experience of fishing the waters of the Banana and Indian River flats and Sebastian Inlet. He fishes these waters in his 17ft Hell’s Bay Waterman, Little Goodness, equipped with the latest light tackle fishing gear and a 90 horsepower Yamaha engine.

When fishing the flats of the Banana and Indian River, Captain Gus is part of an elite group of Hell's Bay Captains.

Species Targeted
Inshore, Captain Gus targets snook, tarpon, redfish, trout, flounder, pompano and black drum. Fishing is mainly focused on the flats and in areas around the Inlet.

Captain Gus specializes in providing top customer service. He prefers only two anglers per inshore trip in order to give everyone personalized attention.
